• Sow 3 - 4 seeds per plant. For spring transplants, start the Viola seed indoors 8 - 10 weeks before the last frost date. Using trays or small pots, sow the flower seeds on pre-moistened seed starting soil and cover with plastic to help keep the seeds moist. Once sprouts emerge, remove the plastic. When Viola seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant into individual pots and grow in cool temperatures. Harden off Viola flowers for 10 days or more before transplanting out.
